I had Cricket for a year. Everywhere I went around town (and DeKalb) had pretty good reception, even when I had internet for a month. The only places I had trouble was in Rochelle (no signal) and Shabbona (Very little signal). My wife had to switch to Sprint when she moved to Shabbona, but that didnt really work either. Cricket never let us down. My friend has a Droid phone on Cricket and he has had very few problems as far as streaming YouTube vids, but otherwise really top notch.

So my phone is 3G compatable and I don't get any good reception. No phone calls at all, I would get text messages two days later. After calling t-mobile, they made me lower my phone to 2G. Now I get 4 bars my internet is super slow : ( I have called twice since then and they havent sent the technician to check the problem. Also, the only money they wanted to reemburse me for my troubles was $5:00. To me, that was a slap in the face. Currently, I am looking for a different carrier.

I get a bar in my house. I usually have like 2 or 3 when I leave the house tops. When I go to like Saint Charles then I get 4 bars but anywhere in the Dekalb area horrible.

Reception is good most anywhere in Sycamore, but will get an occational dropped call or static in one corner of my living room.

We recently moved into the Sycamore area and our T-Mobile reception is bad. Lots of dropped calls.

Beware! Not reliable. Varies from 0-2 bars, fades in and out, drops calls. Often have to go outside house to make a call. Do not recommend this company for this area of town.

While I had trouble with reception around 14th street in DeKalb, my reception is perfect anywhere in Sycamore!
