Poor reception anywhere. Worst service I have ever had. Forget Cingular! So much for their "Raising the Bar"

Very bad reception in Tinley Park. Ridgeland, Oak Park Ave., dropped calls at home.

I have no reception in my house. Harlem from 171st St. to 111 St. has no reception. Two way does work, but you get bits and pieces. I have had Nextel for 6 years and would not recommend them to anyone since they merged with Sprint.

Switched to Nextel after years with Verizon Wireless due to great reviews from family and friends. It was ok for a few months, but after Sprint took over, the bills have gone up significantly and reception has gone down. I rarely get reception in my house. I will receive random voicemails hours after they were left. Also, text messaging services are very slow. Friends get my texts days later! Their customer service is pushing incompetence! I told them they were losing a customer at the end of my contract and service rep answered, "too bad for us" in a sarcastic tone.

great phone m500. Sprint doesn't sell it anymore, use ebay. My Sprint salesman commented he loved that phone but was enamored by the new shiny ones. I've a 3g 4g air card for laptop. Must be on the edge of tower, can get 4g only rarely, east of 159 and harlem 4g is strong.

This is pretty bad... ..the majority of the Chicagoland area is down... .its been almost 4 hours.

U.S. Cellular is terrible I cant call in side my hose cause I will lose reception and when I am with my friends I compare what theres is and its so much better than mine. Except I get full bars inside the Chicago Heights movie theater.

Verizon 0 bars inside my house, 0-1 bar yard / street. Sadly,switched from other good reception on Sept 2011 at a Radio Shack, Tinley Pk. Went to buy a month 2 month pre-paid cell as I explained I'm very ill+ medical bills. Was overwheled, led by skilled, aggressive sellsman. He kept redirecing to Verizon products newly contracted ExplainedI'm not expected to survive for 2 yrs. He compassionately explained, "Then a 2 yr contract is best for u." I cry being so fool + taken in+dumb. Even bought a Bluebarry car speaker I can't install. Can't get GMail since Radio Shack guy errored on password. Called Verizon lots. they're mad at me cuz "contract doesn't guarantee reception in any home or yard.". Recepton must be a buyer's right, shouldn't it??!

I travel nationwide on buisiness and never have a problem with reception with Verizon. Verizon is more expensive, but they do work almost everywhere in the US. I've talked to people that love a certain provider, then talk to others that hate it. I really believe people have problems with any service providers MOSTLY on their model of phone, phone firmware software updates, service provider roaming updates... Ask your provider how, they are free. If you have problems with reception in your area, try changing your phone right soon after you get it (a couple days) to a different model, or brand.
