Verizon 0 bars inside my house, 0-1 bar yard / street. Sadly,switched from other good reception on Sept 2011 at a Radio Shack, Tinley Pk. Went to buy a month 2 month pre-paid cell as I explained I'm very ill+ medical bills. Was overwheled, led by skilled, aggressive sellsman. He kept redirecing to Verizon products newly contracted ExplainedI'm not expected to survive for 2 yrs. He compassionately explained, "Then a 2 yr contract is best for u." I cry being so fool + taken in+dumb. Even bought a Bluebarry car speaker I can't install. Can't get GMail since Radio Shack guy errored on password. Called Verizon lots. they're mad at me cuz "contract doesn't guarantee reception in any home or yard.". Recepton must be a buyer's right, shouldn't it??!

I travel nationwide on buisiness and never have a problem with reception with Verizon. Verizon is more expensive, but they do work almost everywhere in the US. I've talked to people that love a certain provider, then talk to others that hate it. I really believe people have problems with any service providers MOSTLY on their model of phone, phone firmware software updates, service provider roaming updates... Ask your provider how, they are free. If you have problems with reception in your area, try changing your phone right soon after you get it (a couple days) to a different model, or brand.
