Really poor reception and seemingly getting worse. I can show anywhere from 1-4 bars but it doesn't matter. Can rarely place or receive a call or text. Used to be able to generally text or call from in the building. At other times if this didn't work, I used to be able to walk outside my building or to the street or alley and have success. Now, I'm just pretty much dead in the water anyplace around here. I may get a voicemail and hour after the call and still never get an indication that I missed a call. Texting? Useless. Not sure what already spotty service is getting worse but, this area is a known trouble spot... including the nearbt black hole of Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale etc. Someone has to find a place that will allow some relay antennas, something to get some signal around here... ... then again, my phone's showing 3 bars right now? Better hang onto that land line.

Always 5 bars, except in my basement about 2-3 bars, but I have a cement underground basement. Cingular jus contracted out a new tower in the area and reception hasent been an issue before that, and now its flawless. I definately reccommend Cingular.

I hate this Cingular phone and their add about 5 bars, I have cinglular and they are worst, can hear or some time I can not go thru, the call does not go thru from my home. I hardly get more than 2 and I wonder around all in my home close to window or doors.

Reception in this area is absolutely terrible. I often have to go outside to get a useable signal, and any call over 10 minutes is almost always dropped. The NEC phone was very expensive and touted as having excellent reception but is far, far, FAR worse than any of the cheapo phones I used 4 years ago. I could not be less pleased with AT&T's service: terrible service, expensive plans, no reception.

Not bad. I get most bars inside and out. Really good considering there is a large AT&T microwave tower right there on 63rd and fairview.

Up until 2 weeks ago I did nothing but brag about my phone, Verizon and reception. Since then there isn't any reception and Verizon customer service stinks.

Good reception (Sprint-Nextel network), good service, very affordable. No dropped calls, and I can switch phones back and forth any time I like for free (I left my phone at work one day and found out I could transfer my account to my old $10 Virgin Mobile Kyocera phone on their website). I had my phone service back on immediately. Convenient if my phone is lost, stolen, or broken. I'll never be without phone service again.
