reception is spotty at best here. I have to constantly walk around to locate pockets of service. Nextel does work almost everywhere else in and around Indy though.

Never had trouble. I was ont he phone with tech support for over 2 1 / 2 hrs. and never dropped the call. Verizon is the bomb!

We just paid $200 per phone to cancel our Nextel contracts. After the Sprint / Nextel merger reception in Central Indiana got much worse and it was already bad. It has been consistently awful. One day my wife had reason to be downtown and all over the suburbs. She was on the phone all day and virtually all of her calls downtown and every suburb were dropped. We switched to Verizon and have experienced almost no problems. After two months we recovered the expense of dropping Nextel because our Verizon bills are much lower.

Great reception all around Brownsburg and Indy except heading west over Eagle Creek Reservoir during afternoon rush hour. The call will always drop just before you get fully across. Doesn't happen at other times of the day.

Just west of Hwy 267 - well within the "covered area" and only a short distance from their tower. Cell phones are unusable with dropped calls, and missed calls. Sprint says all is well.
