I have been with Cingular for two years. When I bought their service, with a two year contract, I was told that reception would get better out here, because Cingular would be building new towers. (At least Verizon didn't make that claim). After my contract expired, I noticed that my window said 'OFF NETWORK'. I finally called Cingular to find out what was going on. I was told that I was being "booted" out of their service. I asked; what happened, everything was okay for two years:what happened to the towers you were supposed to put up; why now after two years: is this so you can keep the advertising claim 'of less dropped calls'; are you going to contact me after I am dropped (and lose the excellent plan that I am on) and then tell me that I can return to Cingular. I was told that is a matter of money; theirs. They knew this when they signed us up. Reminder; recent merger with AT&T. I was happy with Cingular until this happened. I feel that many of their customers "got took". Nokia 6010 phone has this greatest reception in this area!
