I have a Tracfone as well. It has 2-4 bars signal strength. On the Cingular sync, I am very lucky to get a single bar indoors if I place my phone by the thin outer wall of the house. I was told by a Cingular representative that my street is in a *Poor reception* area (The others right around it are supposedly receiving *Good* reception). Very odd since I am located at the top of a hill. Constant dropped calls on Cingular here. Many many more than had ever occured with the Tracfone. Laughably, I thought going Cingular would be upgrading my service.

Had 5 bars reception on ATT with a company Motorola phone. When phone went defective, my company put me on Cingular (who purchased ATT) and sent a Nokia 6030. Reception dropped to 2 bars - don't know if it is the phone or Cingular. Will be trying another phone asap.

Little to no reception in house, constant search for signal, even roaming is no better... If in basement forget it! Usually get a bar near windows on 2nd floor, but constant dropped calls. Between here and CP, on CL road, never a signal, DEAD ZONE. Sprint supposed to put tower but showing in IL. DATA for Sprint slow to nonexistant as expected with above signal, but usually receive texts with o phone calls...
