I'm a student at the Academy and they now allow students to have cell phones. Cingular is amazing in the buildings on campus! Most places get 5 out of 5 bars! For the most part in the barracks, I get 3-4 bars out of 5. Verizon gets one bar to nothing. Centennial, T-Mobile, and Sprint simply don't get a signal at all in the barracks. T-Mobile and Sprint don't even have service in Culver in the first place.

The Sprint mobile "broadband" card gave me a good connection but the speed was some where where between a 56K modem and the next slower modem (36K?). Though it is cool to have Internet in the middle of nowhere, outside, in your car, etc.

By far the best service you can get on campus and around town. Beats Verizon Wireless and other competitors.

Cingular is the best service you can get in Culver! There are actually THREE towers for this service alone. The northwest and southwest part of the lake have a Cingular tower. There is also another just out on S.R. 10. Verizon, US Cellular, and Nextel share a tower on the North part of town at Burr Oak. Centennial and Cingular share the tower at the northwest part of the lake. T-Mobile, Sprint, and Virgin Mobile currently do not provide service.

I have phone set to NOT roam. It's barely pulling a signal from the Central time zone (I can tell because it's Chicago time, the line for which is across lake at least 5-6 miles away.

Reception in Culver is perfect everywhere!

Great service. Perfect signal. Two towers located on the northwest part of town and a new one on the northeast part of the lake on S.R. 10.

Great service. There is a Verizon tower located north of tower at Key Waste Services and a new one on the southwest part of the lake.

No signal at all! There is no Sprint tower around which Virgin Mobile runs on.

I noticed that it started working somtime around January

There is absolutely no signal with Sprint PCS in my little town!
