I've had Sprint for the past 3 years and it seems to be getting worse. I only get around two to three bars in the house. My contract is up in November 2012. I did a speed test and my download speed is at 400 kbps. Which is horrible when I go to work and get 10Mbps. I was reading where Sprint added a cell tower in Michigan City. And called Sprint to ask when they would be adding a tower in hobart or merriville. And they could not give me answer of when if ever. Went to a Sprint store and the guy told me that they were going to be adding a tower with 4g LTE technology. Don't know if I could believe anyone from Sprint right now. My best advice is that anyone getting into a contract with any cell phone company. Is to test the cell phone download and upload speeds. And you can do this by going into the internet browser of the cell phone you are buying and going into "speedtest.net". It will also tell you if that is a good speed or not.

In the neighborhood around my home is the only place I get bad reception in Hobart or any other town. Drops calls constantly.

Reception is 1 bar or less. Very weak signal and phone is useless in the house.

I used to have awesome reception everywhere but the beach near lake michigan. Now my phone cuts out in my home, throughout route 6, and other random areas in lake county.. I don't know if it's the company, my phone, or what is going on.

Awesome reception inside and out. No problems with signal or call quality at all.

I recently got the EnV and reception in Lake and Porter county is great. It makes me feel great to know that I will always have reception.

Great reception everywhere in this area and in most of Hobart. No problems getting service, especially in buildings in this area where Verizon has dead spots.

Reception is excellent everywhere in Hobart. I get about 5-6 bars everywhere in my house. Downtown, I get about 3 bars. At HHS, I get between 2-5 bars (low service in basement there, but never lose service). In areas by New Chicago on Ridge Road, I always have 6 bars (KFC / Pizza Hut). Verizon loses service in Pizza Hut often. Only problem area is back of WiseWay. I have had two dropped calls. One was at WiseWay and the other was at New Hong Kong (no service or roaming in back). I get excellent reception at the back of Strack and Van Til (next to New Hong Kong) and Walmart (I make frequent calls there and have walked around the entire store). Reception is great in this area, especially in areas where Nextel and Cingular don't have ANY service. I have a cell with a hidden antenna and it has better service than some other Sprint phones with extendable antennas.

Uscellular gives you the most minutes for the buck, but it is weird because downtown you get the good recpetion out of anyone, but at the highschool you get now bars, at my house I get no bars, but at random places for some reaon fou get good recpetion. to be honest besides when the phone went into roaming I don't think I ever saw the phone with all recption bars accept maybe a few times when I went to chicago.

I recently switched to Verizon and recption is usually 5 bars outside my house and 4 bars in my basement, when I had uscellular I couldn't make calls anywhere in my yard. Verizon has the best rates, the best phones, and the best signal. at the hobart highschool I often see uscellular, tmobile, cingular, and sometimes Nextel users trying to get a signal or asking to borrow mine or another Verizon wireless users cellphone. Quite simply "its the nations most reliable network"
