Very little to no bars while inside the complex. The second you live and hut ditch rd. reception is fine again. Its hard to send and recieve texts with pictures. Sometimes I don't ever get a text that was sent to my phone. Frequently miss phone calls but get the voice mail later on. Internet is extremely slow.

I have had Verizon for a few years, and their coverage isn't as good as they act like it is. I have many times not been able to get service at all. I sometimes get no texts all day, and then all of a sudden I'll get 20 texts at once from earlier in the day, and usually people are mad I didn't text them although I didn't know I was getting texts. I reported this issue to Verizon tech support 8 times now and they keep saying they will get back with me and they never do, and the problem never gets fixed. I have driven out of state a few times, and couldn't get any coverage. Add to this that they are expensive and discontinued their unlimited data packages so they can totally rip off their customers, and I think Verizon is quickly starting to become an undesirable company to do business with. I will be switching to a company that offers unlimited data plans and has good coverage... most likely Sprint, T-Mobile, or Boost. Verizon is not at all what they're cracked up to be.

I have been a Verizon customer for years and seldom can get a solid enough connection at my residence to make a call. I'll have to make a switch to another carrier as I'm not about to spend money on a Verizon antenna.

Used to get better reception inside home. In last two years, significantly worse. Have reported to Verizon countless times and they mentioned there may be a problem with the tower but cannot fix it. There solution is for us to buy an internal tower at a significant expense. We did get new phones, now the LG5500 but still reception is not good. Causes voice recognition to be spotty and phone is not clear. AT &T was here to work on our phone lines for another reason and his Iphone had full bars while my Verizon LG5500 had 1 bar. I like Verizon in all most other areas but not happy with it at home. Considering switching to AT and T.

I could not believe I was in downtown Indy on Maryland St., in Champions, upstairs in the Marriott and no signal. I needed to make a call and a guy on T-Mobile let me use his phone. I'll be switching to somehing else soon.

Service is practically useless in Meridian / Kessler, Broadrippls, Butler areas. I cannot make or recieve calls from anywhere around my house. Amazing given the age / income demographics of this area! 100% of the few calls I do receive or make are dropped. Very poor reception for the few seconds It does connect. Downtown and traveling across USA reception is great. Just don't expect to receive any calls in Near North Indy.

I used to have Nextel (Now Sprint Nextel) but switched to Verizon last fall. I couldn't be happier. The put a Sprint=Nextel store just west of 37 and Southport during the past 2 years. Nextel had horrible reception inside, where my Verizon has GREAT reception inside my home. I may pay a little bit more with Verizon, but *REMEMBER*; you get what you pay for and I am happier to have reliable service, even if it does cost a few bucks more a month. I love Verizon Service.

Excellent carrier; phone usually maintains 5 bars of reception. The occasional dropped call (~1 / 20) but always able to call back / reconnect. Poor reception in basements only. Also, IN-calling is invaluable! And the customer service has been fantastic.

my phone goes in and out of analog in Rockyripple, IN which happens to be where I live. this did not start untill a couple months ago. it gets great coverage everywhere else I travel. my wife has a v120 which does better at home but she too has issues every once in a while. Verizon has replaced my phone three times with no luck. I'm thinking of trying cingular.

I cant remember the last time I've had any issue with reception or a dropped call on Verizon... here in my neighborhood or all around Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. I am often the only one among my friends (all T-Mobile users) who has a signal. I just wish Verizon would offer a QWERTY phone so I text message easier!

Verizon reception is excellent in Indianapolis everywhere I have been: Downtown, Speedway area, Keystone, etc. I also do not lose service anywhere when driving back and forth to Bloomington (which I also have mostly good recepetion in... it gets spottier on the south side of town). I go in to roam at one point while heading to Lafayette on I-65, but for 90% of the drive, I am covered. Service in Lafayette and West Lafaytte are also excellent. I highly recommend Verizon.

Phone Model: Audiovox CDM-9155 |
I-70 / Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219 |

Verizon has good state wide coverage. State police have 1400 phones. The branch (another agency) that I am has 14 phones, shared minutes (3000) so that no one user goes over while another under uses. We are saving the taxpayers about $250 a month over the three analog phones we had plus pagers. It is actually cheaper to go this route!
The one problem is the AudioVox 9155. It just has not held up like the previous models. We are seeing them replaced by a better AudioVox.
