good coverage except when inbetween towers, when I was with Verizon the weak signal strength between towers still gave you enough strength to talk, not with cingular, there is a complete dead zone when driving between towers, other than that I am very happy with them

I've had this phone for two weeks and am not happy. There is a terrible dead spot on US 31 between Sycamore St. and Markland Ave (US22). I have experienced poor reception and static at: Jefferson and Dixon Berkley and Lincoln US 31 and Southway Kokomo to Indianapolis Basically... .within the 5-10 minutes of a call... the quality becomes very poor and I don't even want to talk anymore... . I frequently have calls will not go through, false reports that call forwarding is on, and static during phone calls. The call usually starts out fine, but then gets so much static that I miss words / sentences and constantly ask the person I'm talking to to repeat. Yesterday I tried to call my husband six times with o success (he was expecting my call at this time). I dialed from my phonebook and manually. A couple times it went to voicemail, a couple times it said call forwarding is on. I powered the phone off / on, but the call never went through. Last evening, my husband was unable to call me. He tried for 15 minutes and the phone was clipped on my shirt. When I realized that it was 15 minutes past the time he was supposed to call I looked at my phone it said "Insert Sim". Very disappointed with this phone and we're going back to Cingular today! jla
