Great reception even in my basement. My girlfriend has Verizon and she has to go outside to make any calls.

Very strong reception outdoors. Drops off quite a bit once you head indoors, but still pretty good. Haven't experienced any dropped calls around here, yet...

I've had T-Mobile all the way back to their Voicestream days (10 years!) and I've never had a single issue. Good or great reception everywhere and never had a dropped call from South Bend, Niles, Chicago or Indy or anywhere.

I went to rockford with my us cellular phone and back, spending a couple of days in chicago. My service was phenominal! Hardly ever went without a decent signal. I get great coverage in indiana as well but my coverage doesn't cover indianapolis. Us cellular please expand!

Sprint service use to be pretty shaky but they have put up 3 new towers and now have good service just about everywhere in the South Bend Mishawaka region. Not 5 bars everywhere but usally 3-4 and works indoors most places.

I switched from Verizon to ATT and ATT is much better. I had to go outside to use Verizon, ATT works from most places in the house, even the basement. ATT has far fewer dropped calls.

Reception adequate outdoors but drops off significantly indoors. I get frequent drops indoors.

Verizon and AT&T work best at ND.

Only get two bars in this area--not enough to make a call over digital GSM.

Pretty weak signal that all but disappears when you move indoors.

I only recieve my texts randomly, have alot of missed calls and or dropped calls. Will go to work the next day and have a voice mail from the previous nite!I can't hear you now!

I have been with Sprint for about 2 years switching from centennial before the merge with AT&T. Of course I was enticed by Sprint having the cheapest plans with the cheapest data packages. But truth be told, as far as call quality, IT SUCKS. I have to go outside to get reception while inside I get nothing. Even outside, I used to travel to Goshen, IN, about a 20 min. drive to go to work. Even in Goshen signal was very lacking and on the Bi-pass there is a big dead zone for Sprint where I experienced dropped calls frequently. I have used multiple phones on the Sprint network including the Samsung Instinct. Same bad reception on ALL phones. The data is cheaper, but unusable most of the time due to signal strength. It may be cheaper, but still I am paying for something that I cannot use most of the time. I will be switching to AT&T in February seeing that AT&T seems to be pretty dominant in signal strength in the area. Sprint does have probably on of the most affordable packages so if you are stuck on price, go for it. If you want a service that you pay for and can use almost anywhere, don't go with sprint. I for one like to get what I am paying for.

I just got service with Verizon yesterday. I got home and to my disbelief... .can you hear me now... ha! hell no. 1 bar / choppy reception etc. I have lived up here for 4 years and have never once had a problem with Centennial Wireless's reception in this area. But because the in-laws and my family in texas are all on Verizon, I thought I'd switch! Hmmm, maybe it would be nice as long as I'd be able to actually talk to them. We'll see.

I have usually 1 bar inside and outside near home. I can get 2-3 [bars] (but still very poor and choppy) if I stand near a window (but only the one window, not any window). I get dropped calls usually everytime or most of the time if I can call. I sometimes don't hear my phone ring, when it has no bars or one. I notice my phone turns off very sporatically from time to time. I'll check it for the time-of-day and notice that it has turned off. It's very frustrating to pay so much for service and get so little reception. I should note that my sister and mother both have different Verizon phones and have varying degrees of low reception. My sister thinks there is a correlation between better and / or newer phones and greater reception.

Bad reception all around my house. Inside almost useless. Had Verizon, and had NO service. Cingular has gotten better(?) since I moved here.

Not quite sure what is going on with Verizon in this area. Service used to be pretty good but has deteriorated in the past 6 months. Lots of dropped calls when that rarely happened before. I work in New Carlisle and get little to no use from the service west of Quince road. This used to be better but never great.

I have to go outside to use the phone.

Lousy reception... Calls dropped or dismissed... No help from Verizon...
