Had Great service when I had my Hybrid Sprint Nextel phone now that I have the Curve NO reception inside my house have to stand in the driveway. Very poor :(

I had terrible luck with AT&T anywhere south of 30, and 9 of 10 calls dropped no matter where I was in Valparaiso. No luck in Morgan or Hebron.

Really good reception in Valparaiso area. I work near the three-way intersection and even outside of this area the reception is outstanding. Walmart seems to be a problem for a lot of carriers, but I get pretty good service inside there too.

The problem with Cingular and T-Mobile at Walmart is that there isn't a GSM tower close enough to emit a signal that goes through the building. Sprint, a CDMA carrier, has 4 bars in the parking lot, 3 near the front of the store, and zero at the back (but still can make calls without static or fading). Definitely go with Sprint if you want to use your phone at Walmart in Valparaiso.

Just got this new service, my cell phone / voice reception fades out when I'm at my house - sounds like the call is going to drop. I'm on a 14 day trial period so we'll see. Had Sprint at the Kemil beach - no reception at all.

Reception weaker recently at my home on west-side of town. Inside my house, I'm only getting 2 sometimes 3 bars, and I have many dropped calls. I'm only a couple blocks from the tower at Yellowstone and Lincolnway.

Good reception at the park. Calls sound clear and do not drop. Cingular also works well in this area.

I have 3 bars right now at my house by the City Garage off Rt. 30, but no bars near Wal-Mart. On Lincolnway running West to 130, I get good reception, but taking 149 North, I lose reception in South Haven / Valpo right before 700 N. T-Mobiles comment was "Where is South Haven?"

0-2 bars a great deal of the time and dropped calls are common. Have been traveling south to Demotte and Hebron lately and have no service. Can't use in my house without going outside.

If I'm lucky I'll have one or two bars of service most anywhere in Valparaiso. I have a Valpo number and I can't even use my phone there. Out by Rogers-Lakewood park I get absolutely no service. Compass Pointe apartments, also no service. Around Walmart, you guessed it, no service. (I'm just naming off places where I know for a fact I've had no reception, and continue to have no reception.) Even on Lincolnway and Campbell (both being main roads) my reception is terrible, if I have any at all. I know it's not my phone, because my friends with Cingular have the same issues. I don't understand. It's so frustrating. I thought maybe with the merger between AT&T and Cingular my problems with bad reception would be solved... but it certainly hasn't happened yet.

Well, reception is better than it used to be. I used to not be able to use my phone in my house but now I can. However I still have to go outside to get reception sometimes. Head just 1/2 block East and reception is perfect.

Sometimes you get two bars, but it doesn't seem like it at all. I don't know why such a major part of Valparaiso wouldn't be covered. Maybe when Cingular gets control of AT&T Wireless's towers this will improve.
