Get great service in Wichita, but I'm lucky to get full bars below Derby. Winfield, KS is especially bad... I usually have no bars, maybe 1. It's a hit and miss honestly... sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. Use at your own risk.
If I go out on my deck and stand on the railing I might get a signal but after a couple of seconds it drops the call. The phone will ring in the house but as soon as you answer it it drops. Sprint has promised it would get better for years but it still sucks.
I have been all over the United States in my recent travels and have never experienced such horrible cell service as in Belle Plaine, Ks. It's ridiculious! The phone companies could care less about people in that area and their phone service. Face it we are 20 years behind in cell service in this area! Someone should put a tower there for better service, but I wouldn't hold my breath!
Can barely get 1 bar inside my house. I can get 2 if I stand outside on the west side of my house. I hope to learn which cell phone provider has the best reception so I can switch carriers. I'm glad my contract is expiring soon!
I can usually get one or two bars on a good day, and if all else fails, I sit outside to make a call. Usually it is best on the second floor rather than downstairs. Quad band is a necesity. We are planning on getting a signal extender so we can get rid of our expensive local phone service.
I have had sprint, t-mobile, alltel, cingular, and Verizon over the past 6 years and none of them worked any better than the others. I could have 2-3 bars when I dial a number, and by the time I hit send, there will be no service. Going north or west several miles usually gives better signal.
Almost no service, all the time, unless I travel west and get close to the turnpike. When a call does connect it usually drops. Heading north towards Wichita raises my bars and service clears up.
