US Cellular is mostly CDMA which should get slightly better reception than GSM (Cingular, T-mobile) carriers but for some bizzare reason I get extrememly poor performance when I get near any city such as KC or Wichita, Tulsa, etc. ) With the abundance of Sprint associated towers in Kansas it just amazes me that US Cellular is so poor. Alltel is CDMA also and it seems to work much better if you can believe the folks I hear that from. I have been a US Cellular customer for over 8 years and this is my last contract with them.
I get three bars inside the office now. With my old phone which was a Kyocera Slider, I could not get any reception at all. I can drive from Chanute to Kansas City and only get down to one bar around Humboldt.
