Reception of T-Mobile is poor inside many buildings in Southeast Leawood / Southwest Kansas City. Try to get a signal inside the house and unless you are near a window, your phone may not function. Why sign up for an unlimited minutes plan when the phone only works occasionally well outside. If you are a T-Mobile customer it is very likely you will lose signal in the Hy-Vee on State Line, in your childs school, some office buildings, JCCC buildings, etc... (I once worked for T-Mobile as a Customer Service Rep in their call center at 95th and Renner - Unfortunately their customer service department is sales rather than technology oriented so if you want to add something to your account they can usually help but if you have a technical issue, you might have to threaten to cancel before you reach someone with some level of competence. For the record, I am an FCC Registered Broadcast Engineer - I decided to put my talents to use where they are appreciated... )
Not the best considering this is my home location and I prefer perfect bars but will work. Some areas are full bars, but it has to be within a 1 foot radius... .
Absolutely no reception in the BLack and Veatch P Building. Verizon says coverage is only guaranteed in open, outdoor areas. Who makes 100% of their calls from a cornfield?
Dropped calls, no service. I was told the city of Leawood would not let them put up a cell tower on the golf course. Leawood told me no company has applied and tey have a spot for the tower.
I've live in Leawood and drive within it extensively. I have great reception in pretty much every area (north to south) with the exception of near the Leawood Country Club. This area is on the edge of the Nall Ave. tower and the one in Martin City. Going a few hundred yards in either direction usually solves the problem. Otherwise, I never lose connectivity, nor connection to friends collegues who are also driving around Leawood.
I live close to 122th and Roe which is at the bottom of the hill. At home which is approximately 122th and Cedar I have only 1-2 bars and sometimes in and out reception. Mostly I can make and receive calls though. As soon as I get up to 119th and Roe my reception goes to full and I have no problems at all.
