I have great coverage through the entire area. no dropped calls or other troubles. I also get great coverage in my building at work in Gardner. When I had Sprint and T-Mobile that was an issue.

I have had Sprint for several years and experience great service always! I travel to TN, MS, LA, GA, and Fl frequently, and my service never misses a beat! As with the reception, sometimes you just need to update the PRL in the phone. I get great voice service and have only dropped 2 calls in a 4 yr period. With the A900, I have clocked my downstream speed as high as 900K, but average 700K; my upstream averages 100K.

Always get great reception even inside my house!

Cingular coverage is great in Olathe KS in or outside of any building.

No major issues. Calls sometime drop when driving SB on 435 on the Kansas side.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. My wife and I have lived here for about 2 years now and our ATT service is pretty spotty. We can't hardly make a call in our house even though the phone ranges from 2-5 bars. Once we hit about Lindenwood and Sante Fe it goes perfect. Not to point any fingers or anything but I wonder if the big Garmin site here has anything to do with the spotty coverage. I'd like to switch to Verizon or Sprint to compare the coverage.

What's the deal?? Suddenly (past 3 weeks or so) everyone I know with AT&T cell phones is having trouble through Johnson County, KS, Wyandotte County, KS, Douglas County, KS, and Shawnee County, KS! Dropped calls when sitting perfectly still after several minutes of clear conversation! Calls just drop while dialing even though full-signal bars showed! Thirty second delays in calls connecting even when they do go through! Some folks have been told it's a problem with their phone, but one person is on her 4th phone and still having the same problem! Another person was told there are 15 towers down in the area and unknown when / if they will be fixed! Something better change or they are going to face a class-action-law-suit for their commercials misrepresenting the "less dropped calls" misnomer! I've always been thrilled with AT&T / Cingular service, being a customer for about 5 years now, but this really is ridiculous!

The reception in most areas of Olathe is good, only if you are outdoors! Go inside a building, and reception drops to poor and switches to analog and roaming, or no signal. T-mobile, Cingular, and even Sprint phones I used in the same areas get better reception

Often drops calls in Olathe and along I35 north to Omaha, but the phone works well most other places.

We are in the Prairie Highlands Sub division which is on the far west of Olathe. We usually have 0 or 1 bars in 1x service. Calls are frequently dropped and fade in and out. Verizon needs to get a tower on the west side of town to fix this problem.

Reception is horrible at my house at 156th and Mur-Len. Calls care dropped constantly, and when calls do come through the voice quality is poor. Text messages failing to send. Data service fluctuates from 3G to Edge to "No Service... ". Service bars on the phone will fluctuate from 3 bars to "No Service... ". I've had to keep my landline because my cell phone reception is completely unreliable. I love the iPhone, but AT&T's coverage is crap in this neighborhood. Hopefully Verizion's will be better...

Phone goes in and out of reception in my house. Not happy with the company in general. I have been a customer since 2004 and their service is terrible.

Dropped calls, missed calls. Verizon's coverage map is a crock.

I just moved to this area 7 months ago and reception is horrible. Reception is crummy and I have tons of dropped calls. When I lived at 85th and Antioch Cingular was awesome. Very disappointed and I'm dropping AT&T after trying to wait it out :(

I only get 1 or 2 bars, at best (indoors or out), and frequently experience dropped calls, no signal or 'Analog Roam'. I also get voice mail without an incoming call ring and callers complain of numerous rings from their end while I've answered on 1st or 2nd ring at my end. Very poor service!

I have tried 3 diffrent networks and none of them work very well. The best seems to be sprint. I have a work phone from Cingular and the reception on it is not as good. The phone itself does make a diffrence.

No one can get Sprint reception at my home on Charlotte Town Rd.in Olathe. As you come down the hill on Pineview, you can watch the bars drop off. You can get one bar sometimes if you are outside on a clear day. It cost us $35.00 to find out that we could not have Sprint phones here. However, Verizon has no trouble connecting in our neighborhood. Go figure, when Sprint uses Verizon towers, or so Sprint told us. FYI

I have 2 AT&T cell phones that I signed up in Omaha, NE. When I moved to Olathe, KS I found that I had terrible coverage. I couldn't make / take a call in my house, I had to walk out into the street. I also can't get good reception in my office a mile away without going to a window. AT&T offered to sell(!) me a micro tower for my home, but will not let me out of my contract. The micro tower requires most of the DSL bandwidth that I have at my home (which is also AT&T) and doesn't address the problems at my office. AT&T also offered to let me buy new phones which may(?) work better for another 2 year contract! AT&T will not let me out of my contract which has another 8 moths on it. I am not a happy AT&T customer now. I have been an AT&T customer for over 10 years.

This seems to be a sure fire dead zone for not onlly T-Mobile but other carriers also. West of this point to K-7 gives average signals. I always head to the above strech of road when I am on the phone and want to cut the call short with someone who will not stop talking on their own. Check the tower maps on tis site they are a great resource in shopping for carriers.
