the reception fluxuates dramatically and at night - no service. more often no service. many many dropped calls, researching other services for comparison... the service is way to expensive to deal with no service, it ends up being an expensive game / app appliance.

Since around July 15th I have noticed a huge increase in dropped calls on my iphone. Walking around the house my phone is searching for the network, finding it, flipping from Edge to 3g, back to no service and so on. Increasing dropped calls around my yard, inside the house, unable to call people because the phone will not dial out or receive calls. Anyone having this problem too? I upgraded to the 4.0 software per AT and T instruction over the phone today and when finally done, my phone was worse. No emails could be read due to network problems resulting in "unable to connect with server" warnings on the phone. Nothing was changed in my address book, it all was synced with my computer and backed up so I would not loose them. All the sudden I cannot get emails or make calls. I drove 1 mile south approx to 95th and Antioch and tried to make a call. The phone worked but upon driving home, my friend on the other end said I was cutting out. As soon as I turned down 81st St.the phone cut out, dropped call again. If anyone is having this problem with their iphone in the area please post it here.

Have had Cingular / ATT for over 5 years. This area is the worst I have ever experienced in any area of town. Going north on Metcalf I will ALWAYS lose my call by the time I pass the Pontiac dealership. It has been this way for years and does not matter what phone I am using, ( have used Nokia gait phone for years and even this phone would shut down when I got to this area.) Think it has more to do with the huge mass of overhead wires in that area than a nonexistent cell phone tower. I think if all ugly electrical power lines and such were buried underground where many communities nationwide put theirs, cell phone reception would improve greatly all over town. so much for the Overland Park beautification project.

Cingular coverage in Overland Park is pretty solid except for two areas I've lived. If you live in Skyler Ridge apartments right across Metcalf from the Best Buy, you are going to get extremely crappy reception. I checked the coverage maps and everything outside the apartment complex is great, but in the complex is their worst signal coverage. Also Metcalf and 83rd St.is a horrible coverage area for Cingular and T-Mobile. Both spots your conversation will crackle and break up even when you are outside. I tested with Motorola V180, Nokia 1100, Siemens CF62T.

Outside and near front awesome reception inside though is not good at all maybe 1-2 bars at best.

Signal fluctuates between two to five bars depending on where I'm standing in my home. I never have reception problems though.

I lost service driving right next to the Sprint headquarters

The area between 95th and 87th from Antioch to I-35 is poor reception. Usually only have one or two bars and sometimes ROAM. If inside a house or building the signal drops constantly, especially just NorthWest of 95th and Antioch. Sprint's Coverage Map confirms this.

i can only get 1 bar in my house and most of the time I am roaming. I miss almost all of my calls.

I have come to the conclusion that the MODEL of phone you have makes all the difference, so consider that when looking for new service (consider the PHONE and not just the carrier). Two different phones with same carrier may have different results. If you have a dead area, borrow a friend's phone if its different and try it in that area... you'll see that I'm right. I travel from OPark to KCMO daily and have zero dead areas, period; doesn't matter if I take 135th or 119th, downtown, wherever. I don't recall the last time I dropped a call.

More than half of the calls made from the Johnson County Community College campus are dropped. On the other hand, I generally have problems with Sprint in Johnson County, KS. You would think that Sprint would put up a sufficient number of towers in the backyard of its world headquarters.

This is were I lose more signals than anywhere else.

Almost always drop calls at this intersection. Every day on the way to the sitter- rarely do I keep a call here.

It use to drop signals every call when reported to Sprint they couldn't help... canceled my contract with Sprint and switched over to T-Mobile keeping fingers cross

Where does Sprint work in KC? No where, its just horrible everyhwere you go. Out of 10 calls made I get about 3-4 dropped calls. It is horrible and it does not matter where I am. Spotty coverage, phone will always say "redialing" when I make call. I am on my 3rd phone.

I Love T-Mobile, but the reception has just gotten worse and worse. It's almost unusable in Lawrence ks, and a complete wash in Clinton ks,.. Going south on Hwy. 71 in Missouri the reception dies fast, and is spotty for the next 100+ miles... .Changing to Sprint as soon as I can save up 200.00 to cancel with T-Mobile... .been a T-Mobile customer since 2006

White Haven Estates -- 0 to 1 bar is typical with dropped calls occurring all of the time. T-Mobile never advised me that the issue at my home was that there simply is no coverage and they aren't doing anything about it.

Reception inside buildings is poor. When I do receive a call it is either cut off or caller cannot hear me. However as soon as I step outside, it works fine. Problem is I don't spend the entire day in the parking lot. When I first switched to T-Mobile, I complained about this and they said that they were in the process of adding more towers. That was a year ago, and reception seems worse now. I just want a phone and carrier that is reliable. In case of an emergency, someone may not be able to contact me so I am now searching for another carrier.

Wobbles between 1 bar and 2. Incoming calls go to voice mail. Service has been degrading for some time, and they have no plans to fix.
