Verizon claims extended network coverage in Greenwood County Kansas, and that was true until this year (2005) I get roaming 95% of the time now. Their support answer is they have no control over the extended network towers. I suspect they have dropped a service agreement with towers in the area. I am considering switching to Alltel as they have a tower at Eureka, but I don't know how it covers southern Greenwood County. (I'd be happy if it only worked when I was on a hill).
