Service in this area is really poor. This is a highly populated area and the service here has always been bad. I've been a customer for 13-14 years and service has never gotten any better. Most of my friends have AT and T so I keep it because of mobile to mobile.

reception is decent around most of town, 3g and 4g coverage varies depending on where you are at given moment. service on old Louisville road is questionable at best though. all in all decent though.

AT&T
Poor reception. Poor customer service. AT&T does not have the network to support the devices and services they sell. They lock you into contracts for two years knowing this. We live 6 mi off I65, closest tower is 10 miles away. Buyer beware!

Zero bars at home, can send SMS most of the time. Great phone for the $ but have to leave to enjoy it. :(

AT&T
AT&T's reception, service, phones, and customer service has plummeted in the last few years. In the last 6 months alone we have went from occasional calls dropped to not being able to use our phones at all even within city limits, i.e. Scottsville Rd. and 31-W. We thought it was our phones, but all of my friends and family are having the same problems. I think its time to change carriers!

In the last 3 years AT&T's service has progressively deteriorated to the point that everyone that I know that uses their service is looking for another carrier. I am paying for premium service, and getting ripped off. When I complained I was told they were building their 3G system and it would get better, but it is worse, and right in the city you can't get 3G. What a joke. If you are thinking of switching to AT&T, forget about it, the service is horrible and getting worse every day. We have 3 phones with them, and have been with them for about 5 years, but are going to switch providers very soon. AT&T are liars and thieves.

Calls are continually dropped. I lose service very frequently and must try multiple times to get someone back on the phone. It doesn't happen every day, but it seems to happen most when I need to use my phone. Very unpleasant.

2 Weeks ago I would have rated the reception a 5. Best reception I ever had in BG, Alvaton area. All of a sudden something has changed. Called AT&T twice and they say everything looks fine, which either means it is fine, or they have major issues and won't tell me. I am engineer, I undestand things happen, if there is an issue I just wish they would tell me and I will patiently wait for them to fix the problem. I now have trouble with outgoing and incoming calls. Very frustrating! Neighbors having same issues and there calls are being ignored as well. I miss honest companies that do honest work!

AT&T may have more bars, they just aren't where we need them. We have no reception at home plus AT&T drops us all the time. We can be sitting on Scottsville Rd in town and have no service. I was in the AT&T office the other day and now once you leave with your new phone it is yours. Any problem and you have to contact warranty not the store.

Dropped calls all the time. There is a tower within 4 miles, but AT&T (Cingular) must not use this tower.

I only have 1 or 2 bars in my house. When I walk outside I do find spots with 3 bars. I am surprised when I can make a call out side in the yard. I do get voice male on my phone but don't hear the message till I get close to town. Some times I don't get a vioice male till the next day (a day late voice mail is no help to me) The road I live on is the main road to Barren river lake, seems Like Cingular could put up another tower to help us that live here and out of town people going to the lake. I think Cingular should put up more towers, and less options to have less dropped calls.

Have no complaints in the area except there about three places that I don't get service... .right across from the airport by the hospital, on the bypass near Riley's Bakery, and around Covington Park. Other than that, great cell service

I drive this way everyday, and every day my phone drops a call and I can see the tower! It will be a great technology when it works!

When I talk on this phone, half the time either I or the person I'm talking to cuts out. We have to say, "Say it again, louder and faster!" I called Cingular, thinking I could take the phone in and they could upgrade the software (or whatever) in the phone and that would make it work better, but they said that don't do that, they just replace the phone if it's still under warranty. So, I did that and a new phone is on its way to me. BUT, I really doubt that will do any good. Oh well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

My reception is fairly good in town but subject to frequent dropped calls, even within sight of the Cingular office. But from my house, which is is only 2 miles east of I-65, I can't get a signal. So nevermind night and weekend minutes! The world phone capability is extremely overrated. They don't tell you what kind of hoops you have to jump through to make it work. And then they accidentally cancel my world service while I'm in Greece and I have to buy a phone card to call them and get it reinstated. Cingular customer service is absolutely wretched.

My service works well in other cities, but not in Bowling Green. The v60i does not receive good reception. Cingular is by far, the worst cell phone company I have used.
