From Elizabethtown to the Tn state line is on Extended network. Absolutely no calls out but you can receive incoming calls.

Calls can last between 5 seconds to 2 minutes before dropped. The longest call I was ever able to make was about an hour and a half and I had to sit on the floor, while sitting completely still just to keep the service from dropping.

I've had Verizon for almost 5 years and have always had good reception with them. I recently started working on Fort Knox and the cell service sucks! I'm lucky to get just plane voice connectivity forget about 3G! Cell signal jumps all over 1 sec no bars next 4, very unreliable!

We're very happy with Verizon (had their service for 5 yrs.) paired with the Razr phones (for 3 yrs.) - always reliable reception, etc. Previously we had Verizon / LG phones and had only fair / poor reception. Before that we had AT&T for 2 yrs. and reception, etc. was poor.

Reception poor in this area. Phone goes into Roam as though out of Verizon network area. Must go about 1 / 4 mile north to restore reception. Very frustrating !

Verizon has been the best for reception in all of Louisville, KY. I also travel throughout eastern KY several day per week and Verizon is the best I've tried. Have used T-Mobil, Cingular, and Alltel, and none were very good.

At my home on Back Run Rd. My Verizion 8100 will ring but I have to stand on the front porch to have what is usually a broken conversation. My Cingular phone won't work at all.

Have not dropped a call as far as I can remember in Louisville. Traveling down 65 to TN I did drop calls a little beyond Elizabethtown. But near perfect coverage elsewhere.

no question the best service provider out there. much stonger signal than all the rest. can walk to the back of a supermarket or home depot without losing service. also works best in outlying areas like Muldraugh, Brandenburg, Shelbyville, Mt. Washington, to name a few. had Sprint and Cingular in the past. night and day difference in reliability and coverage!

Great reception throughout the mall. On average I receive 5 bars and some larger stores knock it down to 3 bars. Yet to drop a call anywhere inside the mall.

Even when service goes to extened network it goes to no service. It works great just about every where else.

I used to hate all wireless carriers until a sales rep in the mall made me get a phone with verizon..I cant believe it but it was the best decision I ever made...no dropped calls no problems no nothing! I am 100% happy with them eventhough they are more expensive but well worth it!

At one time I had Sprint but Verizon blows them away. It works all over town without problems. Also works in southern indiana and they just got Central Kentucky. Worked for me down I 75 all the way.

Using Verizon is like talking to someone in person. Very few problems anywhere in Louisville. Best carrier I've used.

Verizon works everywhere! I just went to Florida and Back without dropping a digital signal once! I know this because i have an all digital phone! Verizon is great - Make the Switch!

I also vacation at Lake Cumberland but in the central part of the state. I have average signal strength, but I can never receive calls. I may have to dial out 1-3 times before losing the static. I have great strength in Louisville, but half the time my phone doesn't ring it will go straight to voice mail. I've had messages go up to 3 days before notifying me that I had voice mail. I have been with the same company since the early 80's and the quality is getting worse. I am in the process of switching carriers at this time.

I pretty much never have calls dropped or bad reception with Verizon. I've used this carrier for over 10 years in this locale. I also use them through Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana with no problems.
