Generally reception is good, but I am occasionally knocked off of a call for no reason other than Cellullar one may think I talk too long.

It's time they got a couple of towers out here as this place is overrun with foreigners on vacation from Michigan and Ohio. At least those foreigners might help get us some decent modern services. These clown cell phone companies think we natives can't figure out how to use a cell phone.

I'm forced to update my Treo every few weeks to keep the reception viable. Unfortunately, I have to travel to Lexington to actually complete the update. I've found that if I don't do the update on a regular basis that I'm not even able to get any reception in my house.

Cingular is currently installing multiple towers in the Lake Cumberland region from Burnside Island to Jamestown

I travel ALOT, and have never been in a no service area. The phone / carrier combination couldn't be better.

I live in Michigan but vacation between Somerset and London near Buck Creek. I get no reception at the cabin (I haven't heard of an service that does) unless I go up near the top of the mountain I can get just enough signal to make a call. However, in Lexington, Somerset, London and up and down I75 I have had great reception even tho I don't think my pnone is the greatest. I am changing to Nextel next week because a couple of their phones have the capability of being used as a walkie-talkie for 6 - 8 miles (depending on terrain) without a signal from a tower. Hopefully this helps my wife and me keep in contact when I am outside but close by since she is handicaped and can not come out to find me. If this does not work or if I don't like the reception, I will probably go back to alltell. David Hibbard
