My Cingular service is hideous. I cannot use my phone in my sub-division or in my house, on Lee Drive, parts of Highland Road, Hyacinth Ave. and parts of Burbank. I can't believe I pay money for this service. When our contract is up, we will switch to something else. I can't wait.

Subdivisions: Lake Beau Pre And Beau Pre do not have stable cell phone signals! My roommate and I have Verizon, our neighbors next door have Cingular, across the street have Nextel, and a few of my friends have Sprint and AT&T. Signal for all providers comes and goes every few minutes, one minute you have 2 bars, next you have no service.

Sometimes I get reception in my apartment and then other times "No Service" appears. I try calling my boyfriend who is offshore and the calls either fail 41F or 418 appears or I get busy signals when I know he's not on the phone. What's up with all this?

Highland Near Seigan, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 Mon Nov 27, 2006

I have recently moved from Goodwood area to the Highland / Seigan area and all 4 phones in my household-- LG, Motorolla, and two Nokias on the Cingular plan have one bar reception. Can not even use them while at home.

If I go outside, stand on one leg and face the North pole I might get 2 bars. And I don't want to here "it's the trees"!

T-Mobile is a joke near LSU. We used the service for 3 days and then jumped ship. We're using Cingular now which is marginal throughout the Baton Rouge area.

I live in Jackson Park, about maybe 1 / 4 mile from the Sheriff's substation. The reception at my house is HORRIBLE - sometimes no service, more often one or two bars. I have the Cingular "Every other Word" plan - can't make or receive a call from home - inside OR outside. Just called and complained after reading the big news release about Cingular "lighting up Baton Rouge" with their wonderful broadband service. They need to work on the voice service first! Also, coverage horrible on Joor road starting about Greenwell Springs coming toward Central. Also horrible at Florida Blvd. and Airline Hwy. - the biggest intersection in town! Cingular used to be pretty good, but in the last year or so it really sucks.

I drop a call everyday when traveling up Antioch road just off of the intersection with Old Jefferson. Also lose calls on Jefferson Hwy. between Bluebonnet and Floynell.

Like the others have mentioned, I cannot use my cell phone in my house... which as a business owner is a HUGE problem. I drop a call every day traveling up Antioch Rd.just off the interesection with Old Jefferson. Jefferson Hwy / Drusilla area reception is terrible. Prairieville reception is terrible. Cingular has always been my favorite provider after having tried the others but since Katrina reception has been terrible. I was told by an employee that they were switching to a new network which would launch in October and that was the reason why coverage had become so spotty as they brought towers down to upgrade. Well... it's October and it hasn't changed a bit.
