The service has been declining over the last several months. I thought it was my phone so I bought the new I Phone 4G. It did not make any difference in service. When I do gets call through, I have to deal with dropped calls, call failure, echo, etc. I know it is something with the towers because I have always gotten perfect reception until about 6 months ago.

Have been with Cingular / AT&T since I got my first phone 5 years ago. I can't recall a dropped call before the iPhone and the majority of the time a call gets dropped is when I call another iPhone, so I'm assuming it's phone-related and not the carrier's fault. The only time I've lost 3G is occasionally in the Hollywood theater, over the causeway, and in class, in which case my phone falls back on EDGE. The only time I've ever had absolutely NO service was around Lake Charles, LA. Two thumbs up for AT&T.

Have many phones on plan. Candy-bar style phones usually get about 2 bars inside, 3 bars outside. Flip phones maybe 1 bar inside, 2 bars outside. Lots-o'-Dropped-Calls on the flip phones, hardly any on Candy-Bar shaped phones. MY biggest gripe is phones not ringing AND delayed voice mail receipt (like 3 days sometimes!).

Great reception. No dropped calls around my home. In general I have very few anyway. The only place I have signal problems inside the business admin building at UNO which is built of concrete block.

Terrible phone. I've had it six weeks and I don't get most of my calls. When someone tries to call, they get a system error message and my phone doesn't even ring. When I can talk or get a call through, it drops my calls. And that's not just where I live, that's in the city with towers everywhere. Sometimes I have to make five call to finish one conversation.
