First Cell was Sprint, Bought at Ft Polk. Didnt know Sprint had a repeater over vendor area. Great signal there, walk outside nothing. Second Cell was Centenial, decent service around Pickering and Ft Polk. Moved to Deridder and service was very marginal. Switched to AT&T. Service still lousy, considering going back to Centenial which is Celluar 1 now hoping it will be better now since they merged.

Ft. Polk the home of Heroes is also the Home of no Cellular service. I have had ATT for over two years now until I moved to Deridder, La. The service is awful. You are better off getting a home line, because it is the only way to communicate with friends and family. I feel as if ATT have neglected this area of good service completely.

Reception good for voice. Still no 3g in this area, let alone 4g. Sprint seems to have written off competing in West Louisiana.

It looks like 3G is now live in DeRidder! I've had good reception on voice calls, other than AT&T's normal dropped calls or calls going straight to voicemail, but cellular data has been worthless in the area. Hopefully that will now change.

At&t service is really bad in DeRidder. No matter how many times any of us call, all they say is that they are working on the towers and that 3G will be available soon. Not likely. We hate having to call voicemail to get messages. And calls? I do not even receive my calls anymore. I am seriously considering switching, but it seems as if no other service is doing any better to improve service in this area.

I was visiting family in mid 11 / 10, who had recently moved there. I had no bars - only a star showing the entire time I was in Deridder. Once you get closer to Lake Charles or are in the very northern part of Deridder which is in Vernon Parrish, instead of Beauregard, had reception. I did have good to very good reception while at Ft Gordon.

ATT Service is really poor hear in the ft polk area. I have never had issues like this before with coverage and ATT needs to do something or I will drop them like a hot rock. No 3GS service is available hear so the features I am paying if the work at are slow. Dropped calls and no signal are major problems. I have called customer service on several occasions and they are polite but useless. Im fed up.

We can't manage to keep a single phone call from dropping. It's really obnoxious. Apparently Sprint hasn't bothered to improve their service here in the last 2 years.

We have to stand in a certain spot on our property and be still to get or make a call and hope it doesn't disconnect. But if it rains or its cloudy, no signal. We've had customer service run tests on our phones and our signal and still its not better. And they don't want to end our contract unless we pay a fee. So they want us to pay $70 a month for phones we can't use unless we drive about 10 miles towards Deridder. So now we're looking for a company that will get a signal out in the country and then end the contract with Sprint.

Hardly any to no reception. Cell phone goes straight to "no service" about a half mile after you cross the Beauregard Parish line headed south on Hwy. 171.
