I have T-Mobile and my reception and calls are wonderful most times I have full bars and the worst I have 3 bars. I have had 1 dropped call since moving here in march.

Verizon works great here. Much better then AT&T did on post.

My boyfriend be moved to Fort Polk Army Base in Louisiana, and I want to know if he will have any Verizon cell phone reception.

i get cell service 80% of the time on post while at jrtc.get 3 bars in low edge data, 4 to 5 in gprs at worst.

I have no problem with phone reception. I also get better reception on my Quicksilver ATT wireless internet card for my laptop than I did at Fort Bragg. Strange huh?

I had 5 Bars of Cingular Service on the base at Most Times when we went to some Garage Sales on the Base and back to town I think their improvements to that area have payed off the only dead zone left is in the national forest

Fort polk and some surrounding areas get extended network coverage my Verizon works just fine but there's no 3g but today AT&T have 3g when is Verizon gonna get with it

I get failry good reception in Garrison areas however on Roads between major cities like LA-8 for instance I get 1 bar at best.

Verizon doesn't work at Ft. Polk, LA. The closest Verizon tower is in Lafayette, which is about 1 1 / 2 hours away. The only thing that works at Ft. Polk is AT&T and Sprint... ..most people there have AT&T. I had to get AT&T as soon as I got there, canceling my Verizon, though I hate AT&T with passion.

We recently moved from the Northfort Housing area to Southfort. The signal was crappy in Northfort... .. but that was better then Southfort. We are lucky if we get 1 bar. I have to actually leave my home and the housing area to get a signal. Calls to AT&T are useless because they claim that they can only offer moderate coverage for this area which technically means they don't have to provide coverage in buildings. At least when I was with Centennial and didn't get a signal when I moved to another state they allowed me to break my contract because they were not able to provide me with proper service. Can't expect that from AT&T. Thankfully I only have 2 months left to go on my contract and I can cancel it. Just have to figure out which company can truthfully provide coverage for this area. Will very likely go back to Centennial.

Reception sucks in my house. I have to stand in a certain spot to get maybe 1-2 bars. Calls always break up. Service is also bad outside my home. AT&T sucks here at Fort Polk!

If you find a spot that you get more than one bar, and you actually get a call through, one of two things will happen; your conversation is choppy and breaks up or the call is dropped.

I used to have 3-4 bars in my house, now I have none. No service whatsoever unless I drive a few miles, then it's choppy at best.

I get no reception in my house. None! I love to text but this makes it hard for me.

I get no reception inside my home. Outisde my home the reception better, I can get calls through but quality is poor and calls are routinely dropped. I get good reception almost everywhere else on post and in Leesville but dropped calls are still a big problem.
