I didn't notice any recent reviews for the area, so I thought I'd give a little input for anyone who may be wandering or need some info. I have Sprint and my wife has Verizon. We can pretty much place calls anytime without much trouble, and don't seem to drop calls (that I notice). The only thing that I would say is that at times, inside the trailer it can be tempermental with signal strength. It can go from a few bars to almost none. The signal outside the trailer is almost always at 3-4 bars minimum and often times at a full 5 bars. My wife's phone (Verizon) seems to really have the best signal and consistency. While I do update my PRL, the towers out here are Verizon's seemingly, so while I may lose signal while driving out to the main road, she keeps consistent signal and can talk without losing the call. I may only lose a call while driving it seems when there may be a lot of people using the tower - seems to be when folks are coming home and must be a few people on the tower at the same time. We also have friends (neighbors) who are using StraightTalk prepaid service from WalMart and they have just as good a signal as my wife or I and tell us that it's better than the service they got when they were on contract with AT&T. In fact, the service is good enough that they have eliminated their home phone service. Well, I hope this helps anyone who is out this way, or considering moving out this way and may not know which service to go with. No one wants to be locked into a contract and not get the service they're paying for.

I have alot of droped calls around Mer Rouge, LA. Alltel needs to put a tower somewhere around this area. They have alot of customer there and if they would like to keep them they should show a little customer support and put up a tower.
