I can not receive or call out while inside my house. I have to go outside to be able to use my cell phone at all. Even when outside the connection is very poor. We also have a house in Lumberton Ms and the service is worse their.

Cingular service is lousy all over. I cannot use in my house, or within 2 block radius without cutting out. Cingular tech support said service work in the area was supposed to be completed in Nov. 2006, but service is still bad. Now they say I need a new simm card, I do not have any problems with it when out of town.

Until eight weeks ago Cingular was very good in this area. Then drops, static, intermittent reception and network buisy signals started. Phone is practically useles. Cingular customer service says get a new phone, but six friends within five blocks with new phones have the same problems. I have spoken to Cingular a number of times reporting the groups dificulties and finally someone in support forwarded the info. to engineering. They actually called me with a reply admitting they had technical problems and would have it corrected by November 30. I had heard this from someone else but that date for correction was Oct. 15, so I don't have much hope.

2 major rules... Don't buy an Ericssson K750I if you live in Louisiana. Don't use Cingular if you live in Louisiana. If you follow those 2 rules, you will have good reception... otherwise you are simply out of luck.

Cingular coverage between West Esplanade and the Lake SUCKS! I cannot use my cell phone in my house on a regular basis. Sometimes I get a signal and I need to freeze where I am to continue a conversation.

In Metairie, most places are good reception. It has some problems indoors, also in many parts of Kenner and New Orleans there tends to be static.

From the Galleria to South Causeway Blvd., from 1 signal bar to no signal as I approach Jefferson Highway. Nextel's service in the New Orleans metropolitan area has been getting far worse since 2004.

I have had Sprint since 1999, except for one awful year with Cingular in 2005. No problems ever. The only problem I have with Sprint is a lack of "cool" phones and awful customer service.

Basically, blanket coverage - Kenner, Metairie, Downtown, Uptown, Jefferson, all of the westbank, LaPlace to Baton Rouge - always have 4 bars and up. There is one bad spot on the Huey P Long and one on the Causeway, but other than that, I never drop calls. Using a 3G phone on the EV-DO network, and IT ROCKS! When Sprint finally moves everything to WiMax, you're gonna be begging to get some of this! Migrated from Nextel and it was the best choice I ever made! Have a freind with Verizon service and a new Razor V3m. Standing right next to me in a steel framed building, he barely scraped together one bar while I was sitting on five. WiMax is gonna rule. Sprint bought 2.5 GHz spectrum years ago and it's gonna pay off very soon! Stay Tuned!
