att does not have a clue on what is going on in the cell phone business. Dropped calls, static, and everything else in between. Their customer reps are ill prepared to help and can only make comments from a list given to them which was probably prepared by people who have never been in the field and thus have no conception of the what the customer is experiencing. Im switching to Verizon. ATT will be run out of the business by those companies who really care about customer satisfaction.

Hey, AT&T! You just lost 5 customers to Verizon because you don't know how to keep a network up! BTW, we all love our Motorola Droids, HTC Eris, and Storm 2's. Know what else AT&T? Verizon has 3G all over the state!

Up until a few weeks ago, I could access any website on my Blackberry. However, it has become harder and harder to connect. My signal strength indicator may be three or four bars, but I still can't connect to the website - - and this did not start until recently.

I live in the ULM Dorms and signal is horrible especially when the phone towers are down. It seems like the Cingular is down right now because I have absolutely no signal and can't even listen to my voicemail messages. I would recommend a different mobile phone carrier if you are going to live in Northern Louisiana and especially at ULM.

Always have gotten good service here - even just a few days after Katrina / Rita, unlike my T-Mobile phone which couldn't receive calls for over a month afterwards. The only place I find coverage spotty in Monroe is inside buildings, but the buildings at ULM are constructed from cinderblock which isn't too friendly to cell phone signals - even in those I normally have one or two bars, though, and pretty good voice quality. The network does seem to be overloaded down here - almost every 5th call I try to make results in a "Network Busy" error message and I have to try it again, but I imagine there aren't too many Cingular customers (and therefore towers) in Northeast LA.

Just "upgraded" to Cingular GSM from TDMA. Pretty good coverage in Monroe / West Monroe as well as along I20 going into Rayville. However, it is unable to get any network connection south of Baskin on LA 15, which is too bad since I drive to Winnsboro to work daily.
