It seems Verizon is the only thing that works here. I even have 3G data coverage. EVDO

In Bayou Lourse all I get is a picture of a handset with a red slash through it.

No reception at camp - even using Yagi antenna. Only hope is to try 3 watt amp. Reception picks up in Carencro Bayou.

Hwy. 90 From Patterson, East To Houma, Morgan City, LA 70380 Thu Jun 02, 2005

I get about 4 bars on average inside of Morgan City, Berwick, and Patterson. On Hwy. 70 towards Stephensville and Pierre Part, I get poor service past the Lake--if at all. Staying on Hwy. 90 from Patterson to Houma, I usually get full reception (always have service.) In the Houma area I get about 4 bars everywhere, and on campus at Nicholls State in Thibodaux, I get about 3 bars--5 in the city. Overall, I'm really pleased with Sprint's service. I get really good reception all over South Louisiana as long as I stay near a major highway. Forget about trying to make a call from rural areas in South Louisiana. I don't get much reception in Grand Isle, but who does? I get decent service (one bar) on Flat Lake, north to Bear Bayou. If I can get to a clearing in the trees down four-mile bayou, I might get lucky and get service (no bars though.) I've only had about 5 dropped calls in a year, and all of them were in places that Sprint said I couldn't even get reception at all. I think that says a lot about their coverage in Mid-South Louisiana. Of course Lakeside is out of the question, but you knew that already! ;)
