When are we gunna get 3G. This is absolutely ridiculous. Where most of the country is already 4g we dont have any G yet. As soon as my contract is up I will be switching to verizon. Verizon has 3 or 4g everywhere around here. My wife is with Verizon and she can get online all over this area. AT&T u suck!

Prather and the WRAC are terrible for reception. However, I learned yesterday that 3G is coming to Natchitoches mid February so this may change everything!

I'm not sure if it is Frog Pond Apartments or AT&T, but I have to hold my phone up in the air on speaker phone to get one bar.

I get excellent service almost everywhere unless I'm in a older brick / concrete building where almost no signal can penetrate, but other than the fact that we don't have 3G I love my at &t

At&t reception in town can be very spotty. I never drop a call completely but there are times that I have to hang up and re-dial because the listener can't hear me due to no bars. Also, leaving town towards I-49 on highway 6, you will drop your call everytime. Wait to call until you get to the interstate. Once you are there you get full service all the way to Shreveport. I might be switching to Verizon...

I live between Clarence and Winnfield on Hwy. 84. Cingular has repeated told me that I should have reception, but at most I get 1 bar (on a good day). As soon as I reach Clarence, my reception is decent.

I have had Sprint for 6 months now, and so far am pleased with it. The area I live in does not have above average phone reception for any service, but when outside I have 4 bars of reception, and inside two bars. When I had Cingular the problem was no better, and a friend of mine who has Centennial does not have better reception either. There is a cell phone tower less than a mile from the subdivision, but it is for an analog network of some sort. I am very pleased with Sprint in both customer service and their terms / conditions so far... at least I haven't been profiled by the FBI yet like Cingluar allowed back in February. But overall if your around the Cedar Grove area, prepare to have mediocre cell phone service no matter what you have.

I've had Sprint for about 4 years now. Service is not reliable at my home, but is pretty fair in town and on I-49. Most areas in town (Natchitoches) have reception. Leaving town in any direction (Clarence, Campti, Robeline / Many, Cloutierville) that is not on I-49's direct route, makes reception non-existant if my phone is on SPRINT reception exclusively. When I know I'm not going to be in town or on I-49 I set my phone to AUTOMATIC, which allows it to roam between analog and digital towers at will. The stronger tower takes over the signal. I just have to be careful to set my phone back on SPRINT only when I am back in town to avoid incurring unnecessary roaming charges.

Indoor reception is unreliable and usually switches from T-Mobile to Centennial. It's not uncommon to have to stop a call and retry the number to get a signal the second time.

I was reading about people having trouble with AT&T. I did too! I couldn't get service really well in Natchitoches. And I have family which live in and around Calvin, Winfield, and Goldonna. I get full service in Winfield, good service in Goldonna, and okay service in Calvin. I have also noticed I can have 1 bar of service and my calls are still clear. I have 3G service here too and in all these little towns. Ive also notice that I do not drop any calls or have any problems with service! Very happy with Verizon Service! I think you all should try it out.
