MY SIDEKICK DANGER. HARD TIME SOMETIME I USED TEXT AND EMAIL. WHEN I MOVE LITTLE AROUND NO SIGNAL AND WAIT SIGNAL TWO OR THREE BARS. I DO NOT LIKE KIND OF TMOBILE. OH WELL.
I was reading about people having trouble with AT&T. I did too! I couldn't get service really well in Natchitoches. And I have family which live in and around Calvin, Winfield, and Goldonna. I get full service in Winfield, good service in Goldonna, and okay service in Calvin. I have also noticed I can have 1 bar of service and my calls are still clear. I have 3G service here too and in all these little towns. Ive also notice that I do not drop any calls or have any problems with service! Very happy with Verizon Service! I think you all should try it out.
At&t reception in town can be very spotty. I never drop a call completely but there are times that I have to hang up and re-dial because the listener can't hear me due to no bars. Also, leaving town towards I-49 on highway 6, you will drop your call everytime. Wait to call until you get to the interstate. Once you are there you get full service all the way to Shreveport. I might be switching to Verizon...
Indoor reception is unreliable and usually switches from T-Mobile to Centennial. It's not uncommon to have to stop a call and retry the number to get a signal the second time.
I have had Sprint for 6 months now, and so far am pleased with it. The area I live in does not have above average phone reception for any service, but when outside I have 4 bars of reception, and inside two bars. When I had Cingular the problem was no better, and a friend of mine who has Centennial does not have better reception either. There is a cell phone tower less than a mile from the subdivision, but it is for an analog network of some sort. I am very pleased with Sprint in both customer service and their terms / conditions so far... at least I haven't been profiled by the FBI yet like Cingluar allowed back in February. But overall if your around the Cedar Grove area, prepare to have mediocre cell phone service no matter what you have.
I live between Clarence and Winnfield on Hwy. 84. Cingular has repeated told me that I should have reception, but at most I get 1 bar (on a good day). As soon as I reach Clarence, my reception is decent.
