Ever since Katrina, Sprint coverage in my home area has taken a drop. Hopefully it will improve.

Reception at my house in Algiers has gone from bad to non-existant (most of the time). It was bad before Katrina. Now I have to go outside and use the antenna in the car to get any reception. I called Cingular to discuss the problem and they had to call me back on my land-line to have the discussion. While outside my house the incoming calls go directly to phone-mail because of the poor service. It takes 5-10 calls to connect to phone mail, while outside my house. I am 1 mile from the nearest tower. Cingular tells me they are upgrading the towers. We will see.

Reception Indoors is anemic at best. Before the storm, Cingular was the only carrier that had reliable reception in my house. Now, it is just as dicey as the other carriers. I'd love to find a repeater for sale cheap or something to boost the signal enough to get solid reception.

Always have reception. Except in WalMart. Other than that it depends on the phone I think. My husband has cingular, and he always misses or drops my calls.

It is awful. I call the Cingular people (from my cell phone in my house) and repeat myself 10 times before they finally figure out that I'm complaining about the reception. Then they look it up and tell me I'm in a "high" reception area- so there shouldn't be a problem. I have 6000 rollover minutes because it's too annoying to talk on the phone and keep repeating myself so I just hang up. What a rip off.

Average to below average reception outside, however inside a wood frame house the reception is bad. Drops are often and scrambled connections are also a problem. T-Mobile used to be good until Hurricane Cindy hit. The network hasn't been the same since and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Everytime I call they blame it on my phone. My contract is up in July and I am looking for another carrier

Great reception. No drops in CBD but did experience outages when driving on Pontchartrain Expressway to 17th St.Canal.

You weak whiners; get a clue! If I were to invest millions of $ in transmission / repeater towers, why would I invest in a severely flood-prone area? That seems irresponsible, expensive, and counterproductive. Solution: Move to a place with more towers and better coverage (... and I'll bet you suffer less storm damage and pay less on insurance).

Reception is OK. It's not great, and inside just about any building you can't call, but things have gotten better since I changed phones from the Samsung xgh427.
