I had Verizon and had great reception with 3-4 bars. Rarely dropped calls. Cell messed up (excessive use) so I tried new service Alltel. Now I have terrible reception with 0-2 bars at best. Drop calls constantly. Thinking about going back to Verizon before end of month.

used to be bad, now service is spotty (sometimes signal is good but calls don't go through) and don't get voicemail notice until next day or later

I started with a Samsung phone, it had terrible reception. Upon visiting a Sprint store I found out that the Samsung phones have below average sensitivity, while the Sanyo phones have above average sensitivity. Belair is actually outside of the Sprint coverage map, but my Sanyo phone still works fine even inside my home. Thus, do not always blame poor reception on the carrier!

service in the Bayou Liberty area is non-exisant on verizon. I am now getting maginal service inthe same area with Alltel
