When under Cingular we use to get fair reception. Under AT&T the service went south. Now we get dropped calls all the time or static or can't hear or understand the caller. Complaints have not been addressed. Seems people in the outskirts may have good reception but in town Sucks. What happened over the past years AT&T? Don't believe it when they say a new cell phone will get better service! I bought the lastest and it doesn't. Next they want to sell you a in home receiver for another $200. Talk about false advertisement on their service areas!! Money Wasted! under 2yr contract. Sucks

I used to get good reception throughout louisiana but in the past 2 years each phone I got (suppososedly upgrades were each poorer than the preceeding.

Driving down Old Baker you lose reception south of Spur. Then you do not get it again, until you turn down heck young to old scenic, then proceed south on hwy 61. Its about 4 miles of no to poor service. With old scenic and 61 being so dang busy, you'd then AT&T could get their head outs their butts and fix it.

Occassionally you get a 1 signal, but doesn't last.

I have been with Nextel for approximately 8 years. If you're outdoors the signal is good. Go into any building and the phones reads "No Service." I have also had several problems when dialing a number. The phone will give only one busy signal and then automatically go to redial. Tech support told me that it was a design problem with the I730. I was upset that Nextel would sell me a phone with a design problem and requested to upgrade to another phone. Sure they said... but wanted to extend my contract for another two years. NOT! Now I'm very happy with Cingular.

AT&T has very sucky reception plus they don't unlock your phone even if you want to change services.
