I get basically zero signal in my house. I just got two voice messages from 30 minutes ago and my phone has been on the whole time. My battery is usually dead when I wake up because of no reception all night, which kills the battery. Everybody tells me that when they call me they go straight to voicemail. This is intolerable - I'm switching to a different carrier.

Nextel is dead from Lake st. in Arlington to the crest of the hill on Rt. 2. I have found that if a call comes in and I am approaching this area I must stop to finish the call or lose it for sure. I have to hand in to Motorola though, they have made one hell of a rugged phone; it has survived countless impacts due to the frustration with Nextel's "service".

As of spring '04 there was a dead spot in E. Arlington around the Route 2 Lake St. exit. Reception much better after going up the Rte. 2 hill to Arlington Heights. (Conditions may have improved since - check more recent reports.).

Outside between 2 and 3 bars can easily make calls but inside between 1 and 2 with the occasional no service message. I have to stand by the window to hold calls

T-mobile is atrocious here. Most of the time I don't even have enough reception to get a text message. 3G reception is even worse. I'm always on Edge because my phone never finds 3G here in Arlington or where I work in Kendall Square. Unacceptable and I can't wait to switch.

Never had a problem with cell coverage in our neighborhood, which is admittedly at the top of a hill. Still, the only issues that I've *ever* had with my Verizon cell coverage is when driving through Belmont. I get dropped constantly along Clifton St. Annoying, but I've learned to live with it.

Works well in the car outside the house. Decent reception inside the closer you are to the street.
