Decent reception here at The Lake until I head towards Rindge, but that's back roads. If I go the Winchendon route it's fine until Hannaford's in Rindge. No coverage in Rindge or Jaffrey and very poor reception in Peterborough. In fact, unless I'm directly downtown I have no reception at all in Peterborough. I work on 202 and I get "no service". I usually lose it just past the library. Awful... .awful I say!

Some days I don't even have enough signal to dial *72 and forward my cell phone to my home phone when I arrive at my front door. Text messages typically arrive five hours after they were sent. (If at all.) It's slightly better in the winter when the leaves are down, but not by much. The coverage map on the AT&T / Cingular website purports to provide full signal strength in this area, but am I to believe it? Should I risk switching? Unfortunately, I don't believe ANYTHING the cell phone companies claim.
