Most of East Boston, reception is terrible. I get absolutey no reception at my home. Reception in and out up and down Bennington St. (main st through East Boston) Am looking into getting new phone service, but just heard that Nextel / Sprint might be putting in new tower in this neighborhood.
Just terrible and not just Verizon. No one seems to have good reception. Version is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get a digital signal and sometimes analog and a lot of times, no signal. Why can't they install a few (or even one additional tower)?
As far as I can tell, Cingular has the best reception if you are going to be on the Northeastern campus. It's spotty in some of the classroom buildings, but only on the lower floors.
Cell phone is low at my house. I have plenty of bars and then it just drops. My phone is not even a year old. In town the phone works great, but in South Boston the reception is very poor.
