Used to never have less than 3 bars at home: for the last 6-8 months I'm down to one, lucky if I get two. I guess T-Mobile is buying less tower space in the Bridgewater area, and everywhere else. Never had a problem with dropped calls before the last 6-8 months, and I'm having the problem all over now. T-Mobile better step up and buy more tower space soon. * The x495 is known for poor sound reception and garbling. Coverage is a separate new problem.

I go to Bridgewater State in this area and I can't hold a phone conversation anywhere in mine and several other dorms that doesn't include "hello? hello? HELLO?!" It's very annoying, especially when I need to make more important calls that don't look kindly on wasting their time with bad reception. Also, parents and those concerned with our wellbeing tend to panic a bit when they can't get in touch with their children here on campus. Several of us here with Verizon have been referring to parts of campus as 'black holes' meaning that there is not one bar of reception to be found. People I know who have AT&T, on the other hand, have no complaints at all, even in those 'black hole' sections. I wonder which coverage map is REALLY more accurate...

I can see a tower from winter place but I can't use my cell phone inside my house. I called verizonwireless to ask about the tower and they said they had rented space on it but they had not activated it yet. That was two years ago.
