Just got the iphone 4 as an upgrade from my palm centro. I can no longer get calls in my house or in majority of work. The calls I do get drop about 50% of the time. My friends atnt iphone 4 surfs 12 pages before I load one. I will be sending the iphone4 back in the morning.

I am visiting from Virginia where Verizon has great reception. Here in Cambridge, MA its reception is poor, 1 bar then 0 then 1. The funny thing... . I have visited a few local mall here in Cambridge, Verizon kiosks inside, and my reception is off the charts! Dr.a few mile away from the mall and the signal deteriorates. I presume other carrier do the same... very misleading for new local cell shoppers.

Service has deteriorated dramatically during the past two weeks, particularly inside my house. Verizon says they can do nothing. Very, very frustrating situation.

Outstanding reception in Boston, with the exception of parts of South End (but still better than friends with ATT). Often have friends with no reception, when Verizon works (including the redline subway station at central square). Outside of Bostin - gets a little spotty along parts of 84 near I-90, but probably true for all carrieirs (pretty rural in those parts). However, phones are a step behind and plans are more $$.

Typically get good reception throughout the city. I commute to New Hampshire (Portsmouth, Durham) and it's pretty good there too.

Reception is never above 2 bars, and usually I have to move around to get from 1 bar to 2 bars. Many dropped calls. Sometimes during the day, it's impossible to get above 1 bar anywhere in the apartment.

Almost no signal at all at my apt. Only close to the window. 1 bar at MIT. In the outdoors, average 3 bars. On the T, zero! I heard it was the best coverage, I'm changing to AT&T (iphone!) hope it gets better.

Reception varies greatly, from none to very good, sometimes during the same call. But it's much better than it was a year ago, when calls were dropped routinely.

My apartment faces the street, and I get good reception. My roommate also gets fair reception with Cingular.

Incredibly variable - from excellent to nothing in the course of a day. Generally a problem, though, with drops on almost all calls.

Verizon seems to be great everywhere else in the country, except for my house. Drops calls all the time. Apparently Cingular is just as bad in this dead spot in mid-Cambridge. If the tower map is accurate, that's not a surprise. Occasionally I get 5 bars - there's no rhyme or reason to it. Can we get a cell tower in mid-Cambridge?

No complaints. I get reception anywhere in my building. My roommates who have Cingular have to go on the balcony to get reception.

My Phone is really unreliable in this area. Some days it's fine, other days I can't even make a call.
