I get really good reception everywhere except, naturally, in the T station and inside the stairwells and basement of my cinderblock dorm building. But I guess nobody really expects cell phones to work in basements of gigantic buildings.

AT&T works much better indoors than my old T-Mobile (didn't work at all inside). AT&T solves the problem of the strange cellphone dead-zone (I've heard complaints about Verizon, and have personal experience with T-Mobile) on south side of Avon Hill.

Outstanding reception in Boston, with the exception of parts of South End (but still better than friends with ATT). Often have friends with no reception, when Verizon works (including the redline subway station at central square). Outside of Bostin - gets a little spotty along parts of 84 near I-90, but probably true for all carrieirs (pretty rural in those parts). However, phones are a step behind and plans are more $$.

Typically get good reception throughout the city. I commute to New Hampshire (Portsmouth, Durham) and it's pretty good there too.

I get a strong signal almost anywhere I go in the Boston-Cambridge area. The only weak spot is inside my apartment where the signal sometimes drops to near zero. Unlike Verizon Wireless which I had a few years ago at the same location, calls are not dropped if the signal dips briefly, so that's a major improvement.

I've had this phone and service throughout my 4 years at Suffolk University. I lived on Tremont St.(across from the commons) for 2 years and always had reception. My classes were located either on Beacon Hill, or by the Arlington T stop, and I never had a problem in either locations. The past 2 years I have lived in Central Square, Cambridge and get perfect reception here as well.

4 bars in my office building; never had a problem. I am on the 4th floor so that may help. I also get good reception in my home which is very nearby in North Cambridge, towards Davis square from here.
