Cingular (post-AT&T merger) is great in most of the Springfield-metro area here in "farm country" (western MA). Along the Mass Pike and into Auburn / Worcester the reception is also good. I get 3 or 4 bars depending on where I am. I had Verizon Wireless and the LG VX3200 phone which always gave me 4 or 5 bars, but the calls still dropped or were poor quality.

Reception is gererally good. However, I can be standing in my back yard and on a call. After 3 or 4 minutes of talking, the call goes dead and I get a "Call Failed" message. It is very frustrating. I never had that problem with Sprint. AT&T is a business phone, so I have no choice. It seems that the bars range from 1 to 5 without moving around. I wish that they would put up another tower!

Even with the SPCS tower on Jamrog, reception does not seem to be good unless outside. It is about 3 / 4 mile away.
