Looking to switch to Cingular for the cheaper rates, but afraid of signal drop off. Verizon signal seems to work all over MA.

It must be the handset, I had the T68i and that worked fine inside my home and at my work. T-Mobile is pretty OK in Lowell / Boston / I-495 / Rt. 3 going to Nashua. Calls drop on I-95 near Waltham. I work near Acton and it works OK there too.

Used to work inside my bldg (the concrete slab known as Olsen Hall), but starting July 2006 does not. Can get reception on the street, fine. Cingular claims nothing has changed. I will try T-Mobile -- if that works in my building, bye-bye Cingular.

Service was pathetic initially. Had 0 reception initially in the house. But the service has improved considerably over the last few days... sometines I even get 5 bars :D But overall service has been poor and customer service needs to improve.

Inside of my house or in my driveway I get NO reception. On the street however It is decent but still not very good. AT&T says I'm less then 2 miles or so from a tower, well, it sure doesn't feel like it. Can't receive text messages / calls in the house. Really sucks

River Rd. in Lowell runs along Merrimack River - no reception in the house - have to stand outside in a certain area to get a little reception. Streets all around this area have poor reception.
