why is it that Sprint PCS 3500 model phone no longer has decent reception. When I bought the phone back in 2000 it was the best cell phone money could buy. now it barely works. I bought the phone for emergency use only because I am a diabetic and prone to low blood sugars. I am not sure if this phone even complies with the E911 second phase system of transmitting the ANI / ALI to the dispatch center. This phone does not make the grade with me. Anyone suggest a new phone service for emergency usage?

I have been with Verizon for 4-5 years. They are horrible. Not only their reception but their customer service on the phone and in their stores. Now I'm leaving and their willing to work with me. I am so angry that I have been paying $60 plus for this amount of time for a family plan and my calls cut out, I have no reception almost everywhere, static. The whole point is to use most importantingly for an emergency especially with 2 small kids yet I would be stranded just as if I didn't have a phone. I am going to try AT&T. I am not even looking for much since I had nothing with Verizon. We were through 3-4 phones each, antennas. Nothing worked. Goodbye Verizon!
