I've had AT&T service (Cingular) for some time. The phone worked for a while then stopped (no bars, no calls out). This happened just after the company "upgraded" per their report. Since then I cannot make calls out from my house. AT&T has no resolution for this. They actually told me to drive down the street when I wanted to make a call. They told me that there are 5 cell towers in my area-----so why don't I get cell service? Oddly, I can receive calls.

I am unable to send or receive any calls or messages in an approximate 1 / 4 mile radius around Forest St. in Malden despite apparently good reception. This appears to only be a problem at night as I can connect perfectly during the day. I recently purchased a new phone in a desperate attempt to remedy the problem but to no avail. I have heard of many others in the area with Verizon phones that show good reception but cannot send or receive calls. I had my previous phone for nearly three years and it worked fine until early 2008 when all of this started. I doubt the problem is the phone itself due to others in the area with the same issue. Verizon has done nothing.

Phone cuts out constantly even though bars are shown. Verizon has replaced my phone 4 times, but it is certainly not a phone issue. This all started 4 weeks ago in early March '08. Have been given the complete runaround by Verizon trying to get the issue resolved.

for me T-Mobile has been the best service in boston since 2001,even the best in the us.

I had no reception in my house with my Samsung phone so I replaced the phone with a Nokia. I now have a single bar and sometimes two. Overall the reception for T-Mobile on the Malden / Melrose line is poor.

The only time I have bad reception is when I am in the train which goes underground but the minute I come out I have full signal.
