The coverage map on the Verizon website says that it has coverage, but both outside and inside the home there is no coverage at all. This is not exclusive to cellular data as there is also no 3G capabilities.

A bout a year ago I installed a Verizon network extender in my home office which is located on the top floor of our house. This device did improve cellular reception in the office, but reception in other rooms and outside remains poor to very poor. In general, Verizon service all along Pine St.as well as throughout the village the cell reception is very poor. On Singing Beach there is almost no reception which is critical should someone need to call 911. Verizon continues to show excellent coverage for this entire area which is a local joke. Either Verizon is very badly informed regarding their technical capabilities, or they are simply just committing consumer fraud. Prior to switching to Verizon in August 2009, I had both an AT&T Nokia (smartphone) as well as a Sprint (flip phone). The service from both of these carriers was even worse. Since my contract with Verizon is over I'm going to investigate other carriers to see if their service has improved. I would like to join the growing trend and eliminate the need for a land line, but considering the poor cellular service here that's not possible. J Diedrich

I have had Verizon on 2 different plans, my family plan was up and I decided to stick with verizon. I had great reception all over mass and good reception at a camp in NH compared to sprint, which my uncle has. I do admit there are some trouble spots but no company is perfect and I knew I could get Verizon in all the areas I need. My first phone was a free vx 4400 that got good signal and my new razr v3c is comparable with one less bar but that is cause it has no external antenna so its more the phones fault but still gets great reception. I have had 3 phones in the same room, a Cingular Nextel and verizon, and my Verizon has always come out on top with reception.
