EVDO coverage is good, but not complete. On campus, service ranges from 5 bars to roaming, depending on the building.

4 / 5 bars at most places on the Tufts Campus (and on the EDGE data / phone) network for T-Mobile. No service problems in buildings or dining halls. Data service is fast.

Had great reception out in Brookline. Nowe though, get extremely poor reception in and around dorm and academic buildings - calls are dropped repeatedly and battery dies a lot quicker because so much power being used to find / hold signal. Reception improves somewhat while outside, but not to any great extent. I'm definitely switching.

medford sq is perfect reception wellington has spotty coverage. ill get full 6 bars near Kappys but ill only get 2bars in my house. 2 bars with my vi660 and 4bars with 535

Cingular gives 5 bars near the Tufts campus; I use it as my home phone without difficulty.

Originally, I had a Motorola V180. The reception was horrible. I recently upgraded to a Razr V3, and though I don't know why, the reception is now awesome. I have no problems in all of Medford, Somerville, Boston, Cambridge.. you name it. Everywhere is 4 bars, more or less.. the only place that gives me 5 is downtown Boston, near the financial district or Government Center.

I actually love my Sprint Service. I did loads of resaerch before switching from AT&T. My wife and I share a plan and we get loads of minutes, unlimited internet, unlimited messaging, pics. Definitely the best deal. Their CDMA network works much better in buildings overall. I can also make calls from the Davis Square T platform without problem. But for some reason, the signal sucks at my apartment on Willis Ave. I get 1-2 bars inside and 3 outside. I have called multiple times to complain, but no success. I am looking around but no other provider offers the same deal.

0-2 bars most places on campus, no reception at all in any dining hall, no reception at all in the library, no reception at all in south hall... pretty frustrating service, when I do get limited reception, I get cut off and disconnected repeatedly

Absolutely miserable customer service. Horrible Coverage. I haven't been able to get anything but roaming mode on my cell phone for weeks now. I'm ready to give Cingular the boot.

Constantly drop calls in the Hillside area of Medford

You get only weak reception in the club.

I have been pretty happy with my Sprint service for the past 5+ years, I find it gets reception (Nationwide) where many other carriers do not. However, we just bought a house and I get NO reception there! Sadly, I'm going to have to switch.
