1 bar to 0 bars, pathetic reception for verizon

phone worked fine across town. I just moved to the other side of 125 and service is terrible.

Have to go outside to get reception. My wife has Verizon and does not have a problem.

Reception is only 1-2 bars, cuts out a lot. Can't get calls indoors, must go outside to my deck to get any signal.

Rception comes and goes, and also varies a lot when you move around. A lot of dropped calls.

Reception goes from no-service to 2 - 3 bars depending on location. While driving through North Andover there are consistently dropped calls at specific locations: 114 Merrimack college, 114 Sutton Hill, several spots on 125 from junction 114 to 93, North Andover common, etc etc. With consistent I mean, repeated tests have the same outcome: a guaranteed dropped call at a specific location. FYI Cingular has been trying to add an additional tower to improve coverage, but has been twarted by town activists that have managed to block town permission for the new tower for years. Although I have been a Cingular customer (att wireless before) for 8 years, with good reception in Boston and around the 128, which are my work areas, the dropped calls at my home location, north andover are finally getting to me and I'm planning to swith to another service provider. Listing to other experiences and doing some tests, my preliminary conclusion is that Verizon Wireless seems to have the best coverage in the area as of Summer 2006.

Poor strength and constant NO SERVICE. Sprint seems to work here though (friends).

Adequate reception, but not great

I'm lucky if I get 1 bar in my house. If I step out my front door I get 2 bars. Lots of places in north shore with terrible reception. Back road from Andover to Billerica has no reception at all and in Stoneham to Woburn is pretty bad. Calls drop out all the time while on Salem st.

Faint reception fades in an out from 95exit all the way into north andover, blocked out completely after passing 114... Cingular is the only service out of tmobile, verizon, AT&T and sprint, that gets any kind of reception in and around my house

reception sucks - poor to none

cingular / att sucks here for several years. the only one I know that gets bars is 5+ for verizon

little to no reception outside buildings and same thing when inside the building. called and complained manytimes about reception.

I have lived in north andover center and near merrimack for several years and the only provider that seems to work is Verizon.

Overall you could can use the phone in the apt.

We seem to get good coverage both indoors and out, unlike the other spotter (july 22 2005) from the same area. Another phone SonyEricsson T237 also gives good reception.

If I am lucky and standing in the right spot I can get 1 bar

Usually 2 to 3 bars. Better than previous service I had with Sprint.
