AT&T service is terrible. I am visiting from Boston every other week and almost every call drops within 90 seconds. If there are many tourists here during the weekend, forget about calling at all. TXT messsages are delivered very sporadic. I had friends, on ATT or other services, send me TXT and they appeared 8-12 hours, yes hours not minutes, later. I wish I could get out of my contract and toss ATT out where they belong. In the garbage. As I was calling 611 to complain my call was droppend three times. Just proves the point. A better solution than ATT is two cans with a string inbetween. Roger

I live in Los Angeles and I'm renovating a summer home in PTown. During the fall of 2010, I visited for 2 weeks and I got PERFECT reception on ATT wireless service, on both the iPhone and iPad. I had no dropped calls and I got cell reception at the most remote places like the dunes at the beach! I was able to manage email, texting, internet and cell calls with no problem whatsoever, day or night. I highly recommend the iPhone G4 and ATT on Cape Cod or anywhere else that I've traveled in the US. -Danny

Let me preface this by saying I was no big fan of Cingular - horrible customer service and the last time I was here (using predecessor AT&T) I could barely get a signal. So I am AMAZED that I get nearly perfect signal all over Truro and Provincetown. They must have built towers. I also have a Verizon Motorola Q with me (testing it because was considering switching) and the Verizon converage is extremely spotty in comparison. Some places it's great, other places it blows. Constantly cutting out on Route 6 between Eastham and Truro. Yet Cingular was almost perfect. I still can't believe it. (Especially because my sister, who lives here, told me that Verizon supposedly has the strongest signal here -- but I think that is based on information that existed before Cingular put their new towers in.)
