Using Virgin Mobile prepaid and can connect fast and easily all the time. Able to talk in the basement of home and stairwell where I work. Have also tried Cingular but connections are slower, have a little more static, and not as reliable overall.

Great reception. Cingular is definitely making great strides in the coverage area.

Sprint PCS seems loud and clear in North Quincy around the State Street complex. No dropped calls, no "network busy" problems.

I was getting ready to drop AT&T back in December, due to all the calls my phone had been dropping.Ready to eat the contract..I had the same problem with Verizon,so I am aware, that I am in a reception, dead zone.Thought I might try T-Mobile,because I am close, to their new antenna. For the last month my AT&T reception has been good, and I haven't been dropping calls. I'm wondering if AT&T has put up a tower nearby.Has anyone,in Quincy, experienced a recent improved AT&T signal?

Signal at times will Disapear entirely. Altho there are two site within 1 / 4 mile of the location Nextel says to convert to the Sprint side [Dual Band phone], most of the time the issue is with the Direct connect, due to the volume of BOOST Mobile abusers.

AT&T reception at this location is horrendous. On occasion, the phone may ring but the call will drop before even answering it. I contacted AT&T regarding the reception but they seem to think that there is "excellent reception" in this area. They also indicated that they cannot guarantee service within a building. However, even if I choose to go outside there is still poor recption.

Poor to no reception in Houghs Neck. I have to go out on my porch and hold the phone at different angles for a chance of getting a bar or two then hope that once the call is made, it doesn't drop (which happens way too often).

The reception in Quincy is horrible. As soon as you get out into Houghs Neck or Germantown, the reception is sub-par at best usually getting lucky to get one or two bars and praying that once your call does get through, it does not drop. We need a tower or two in Quincy so that service improves.

Just want to update my post of March 10th.In that post I was wondering if anyone had experienced an improvement, in AT&T signal stength, as mine seemed to have, greatly improved and I was rarely dropping calls I just want to report, that my AT&T is back, to dropping calls again.I guess they didn't put up a new antenna.
